Giving Back

We’re passionate about leaving a positive impact on our local community, our home in Scotland and reducing our wider impact on the planet.

Kindness at our Core

Strathberry is a family-run business and fundamentally believes in the values of kindness to others, supporting those in need, and reducing our impact on the environment as best we can. We support a variety of charities and local projects, both based in our home of Scotland and further afield.

Nurturing the next Generation

We recognise the importance of developing the talent of tomorrow and are proud to provide opportunities to young people in our hometown and further afield to support their emerging creative talents and to help them grow and succeed.

Student work experience with the King’s Foundation

In partnership with The King’s Foundation, throughout the year we welcome groups of students with an interest in fashion & textiles from across Scotland and overseas. At our Townhouse they have opportunity to hear from our teams on topics of interest, such as design, craftsmanship and sustainable goods production.

Edinburgh High School Initiative

We have partnered with a local Edinburgh High School, offering a group of their business students the opportunity to visit our Townhouse for a day each summer to participate in interactive sessions with our teams. Seeking to build early aspirations for potential future pathways, they have the chance to get a taste of key business areas, from Digital Marketing and PR, to Finance within a business and HR.

Edinburgh College of Art collaborations

Strathberry is proud to have collaborated with Edinburgh College of Art over the past few years to develop a creative design competition for their Textiles students which celebrates Scottish architecture, cities and landscapes. Previous winners have had their designs produced into a capsule collection of silk scarves, enabling them to showcase their amazing work internationally.

Children’s Hospices Across Scotland

For over 25 years, CHAS has offered full family support for babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions. Through their hospices, homecare services and hospital presence, CHAS provides palliative care, family respite and support throughout Scotland.

Strathberry has been a proud supporter of CHAS for several years. Through internal staff fundraising and supporting their annual events with various prize donations, we are delighted to help raise funds for their hospices and support children and their families all across Scotland.

Women for Women International

Women for Women International supports women who live in some of the world’s most dangerous places. Since 1993, the charity has helped over half a million marginalised women survivors of war. Women enrol on the charity’s year-long training programme, where they learn how to earn and save money, improve their family’s health and make their voices heard at home and in their community. They pass on their knowledge to their neighbours and children, creating a ripple effect of change.

Strathberry are proud to have supported Women for Women International for a number of years, through corporate fundraising and donating bags each year to their annual Women for Women International #SheInspiresMe Car Boot Sale.

Supporting our Community

Here at Strathberry we’re deeply committed to local community engagement, actively supporting and partnering with local suppliers to foster growth, create sustainable opportunities, and strengthen the community. Whether purchasing flowers from our florist around the corner, organising our weekly staff fruit box, or sourcing caterers for working lunches, we continually aim to source via local suppliers and in support of local projects.

Charity Gifting

Our Strathberry Charity Committee is made up of employees from across the UK, who help decide which causes to support. Together they are responsible for reviewing all  charity requests and distributing handbags to causes which align with our values.
